松戸市立小金中学校 Kogane Junior High School

昭和33年頃東漸寺の裏山から撮影した小金中学校 Around 1958 Kogane Junior High School taken from the hill behind Tozen-ji Temple.

昭和27年から昭和42年の初めまで、小金中学校は線路沿いの高台（北小金駅の南西、現在八坂神社や北小金ハイツがある辺り）にありました。
グランドで野球をしているのは中学生ではなく、地元の草野球チームです。けっこう強く、松戸市内の大会で優勝したことがあったそうです。

From 1952 to early 1967, Kogane Junior High School was located on a hill along the railroad tracks of Joban line (southwest of Kita-Kogane Station, around where Yasaka Shrine and Kita-Kogane Heights are now located).
The people playing baseball on the school ground are not junior high school students, but the members of a local amateur baseball team. They were quite strong and had once won a tournament in Matsudo City.

元々は小金中町のチームでしたが、小金下町からも参加するようになり、更には勤務先の同僚なども加わってメンバーが増えていったそうです。

This amateur baseball team was originally from Kogane-nakacho, but the number of members increased as people from Kogane-shimocho started to join the team, as well as colleagues from their workplaces.
